Observations on Infants and Rice Cereal

Hannah tried cereal for the first time this week. Her doctor said she was doing great at her four-month checkup and suggested that we could begin adding other types of food to her diet. We took our first steps down this path with a tablespoon of rice cereal. Hannah was not sure about the flavor at first. After a few spoonfuls, however, she was reaching for the spoon to feed herself. I think she swallowed most of the cereal, but a healthy amount landed on her chin, cheeks, and nose. I’ve posted 90 of the 200 photos that I took during this epicurean exploration.
